Freeman is seeking an Audio Visual Technician who will assist their manager, PM’s, Show Coordinator, labor managers, and account executives in the production of shows in response to the needs of our clients. The main role of this position is to be onsite producing shows, filling the duties and needs of any given show. There will be a wide range of responsibilities that will change from show to show and day to day. Additional duties include:
Responsible for general session/meeting room/exhibit labor, audio, video and/or lighting assist, meeting room/exhibit/labor coordinator, and warehouse work.
Also responsible for show-site actives include load-in, load-out, install, dismantle, labor direction, equipment operation, floating meeting rooms and exhibits, verify room/exhibit sets meet company standards, and client relations.
Work directly with Inventory Control to ensure complete equipment coverage on shows and assist inventory control with equipment pulling, loading, tracking and restoring of equipment.
Coordinate and/or assist both technical and labor crews.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum two (2) years related industry experience or equivalent combination.
Ability to communicate in person or over the phone how to perform various equipment related operation.
Must have proven customer service skills
Ability to clearly instruct and demonstrate the set up and operation of high-end audio, video, and lighting equipment.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret equipment specifications.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems quickly and effectively.
Must have valid driver’s license
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 years of college or technical trade school
