The Lead Quality Control is directly responsible for inbound quality check and outbound processing of rental equipment. This role will be directly responsible for the daily quality control check and outbound staging of rental equipment in accordance to procedure(s) to ensure integrity is maintained in our reservations and equipment readiness. This position requires teamwork, communication, and technical skills.

This position will support our Alford Media team. The position follows an in-person schedule working full-time in-office and/or show-site based out of Coppell, TX.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Daily oversight of quality control and technical service staff

  • Daily oversight and participation of physical checks of rental equipment to ensure cosmetic and functional excellence

  • Daily oversight and participation of the intake of equipment and prioritize the staging of outbound equipment

  • Daily oversight and participation of the qualification and processing of inbound damaged equipment

  • Oversee a small stock of repair parts, accessories and ancillaries required to return equipment to a rentable state

  • Collaborate and accelerate innovations in QC tooling, practices and execution

  • Assist in training/development of warehouse staff

  • Ensure sound safety and risk policies and procedures through assigned areas

  • Perform regular quality audits to ensure operational excellence

  • Provide recommendations on Capital Expenditure and planning

  • Promote teamwork and communication between all warehouse operations

  • Assists other departments as needed

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Education & Experience

  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Proven ability to lead with vision, strategic thinking and hands on experience

  • Ability to influence and inspire action with a focus on driving business results

  • Must be comfortable independently evaluating a situation, exercising judgment, and independently making a decision

  • Meticulous attention to detail as well as superior organizational and creative thinking skills

  • Must have experience juggling multiple clients with competing demands

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation and presentation skills with the ability to effectively interact with numerous business teams

  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from employees, customers, or regulatory agencies

  • Ability to relate and conduct theoretical discussions as applicable to specific technical topics

  • Proven ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with customers at all levels

  • Proven ability to communicate a technical message to a non-technical audience

  • Proven ability to adapt while managing multiple competing priorities

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required

  • Minimum 2 years of related experience within event production and/or warehouse operations
