Summary

The Tech Lead – .Net, will be involved in all aspects of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) developing software applications to adhere to designs supporting business requirements. They will work on new projects as well as support existing applications and be expected to communicate project level status of their assigned tasks on a daily basis. The .Net Tech Lead is expected to work with and organize small developer teams on assignments related to common goals and objectives. They may participate in discovery initiatives for new projects to identify solution options and estimate overall project costs/duration.

This position will support our IT team and is eligible to work a remote schedule.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Deep knowledge of standard .Net practices and commonly used modules based on extensive work experience

  • Create enhancements or support current functionality using .Net best practices

  • Must have good understanding of applications developed using Classic ASP.

  • Must have good troubleshooting skills to support applications developed on Classic ASP, VB.Net. Asp.Net and C#.

  • Must be hands-on development in C#, Asp.Net, .Net Framework, .Net Core and other related technologies.

  • Must have good experience in relational databases like SQL Server, Oracle and etc.

  • Should have good experience in supporting and migrating legacy applications to modern technologies.

  • Should be familiar with SOLID principles and Design Patterns.

  • Ability to guide the team and act as individual contributor.

  • Ability to learn new technologies and recommend appropriate technology for the business needs

  • Creating self-contained, reusable, and testable modules and components

  • Thorough understanding of SQL Server

  • Familiarity with test driven development

  • Creating configuration, build, and test scripts

  • Work with clients, producers, and other team members during the SDLC phases to understand and implement the desired business functionality

  • Ability to communicate technical details to non-technical stakeholders

  • Update project leads timely on at-risk tasks where timeline adjustments need to be made

  • Provides accurate work estimates for development efforts

  • Create technical specifications for assigned work

  • Utilizes and applies secure coding standards and best practices for developed solutions

  • Develop prototypes for design, development, usability, review and evaluation

  • Stay abreast of leading edge of technologies, design patterns and best practices

  • Participate in complex technical decisions

  • Recommend opportunities to improve process, efficiency and results

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science required, or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Five (5) or more years of experience in a related field in a large corporation or consulting environment

  • Five (5) or more years of experience with agile software development methodologies

  • Five (5) or more years development experience using .Net, SQL Server, SSIS

  • Three (3) or more years of experience participating on cross-functional, major project initiatives
