Summary

Will be responsible for administrative support to the Freeman Transportation department; under direct supervision, prepares regular work assignments related to the strategy of the department or work team.

This position will support our Transportation team. It is eligible to work a hybrid schedule, generally requiring work in-office 2-3 days per week. This position is based out of Dallas, TX.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all round trip, inbound, and outbound transportation requirements for exhibitor clients

  • Utilize the current Exhibit Transportation shipment management system for all shipments and ensure that all necessary shipment documentation is properly prepared and distributed

  • Effectively communicate and follow up with selective partner carriers to ensure transportation requirements are met

  • Obtain most competitive freight quotes in a timely manner and communicate suggested retail pricing to account executives

  • Effectively communicate shipment details with Freeman Transportation staffs, up to and including account executives, account managers, branch managers, and directors

  • Responsible for communicating pertinent information to internal companies and departments to ensure seamless exhibit transportation services

  • Efficiently utilize carrier software programs to monitor and manage all tendered shipments

  • Manage and reconcile all carrier invoicing and billing

  • Prepare monthly shipment and revenue reports

  • Distribute Claims forms to customers

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Prefer to have at least two (2) years in the transportation industry

  • Prefer to be able to type 40 wpm

  • Must have excellent 10-key by touch skills

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel

  • Must be detail oriented and organized

  • Good communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Strong analytical and organization skills

  • Excellent customer service skills
