Oversees team of installers who are responsible for installing, servicing, and repairing structures and major components. Also oversees the day-to-day activities and operations of the Aerial Rigging work group. Manages the safety, quality, scheduling and budget of all assigned aerial rigging work.
Oversees team of exempt and non-exempt employees in the Aerial Rigging Lines of Business. Hire, fire, train, manage, mentor, discipline, and coach employees. Properly delegate responsibilities.
Continually grooms and develops individuals for all roles in the Aerial Rigging Lines of Business to ensure adequate staffing levels at all times.
Make arrangements for alternative labor when normal labor sources are exhausted for skilled positions in the Aerial Rigging Line of Business from other Unions and/or branches as needed.
Secure Exhibitor Sales Manual for shows and be familiar with the rules and regulations of the show.
Interact with all Aerial Rigging customers, including maintenance of existing accounts, development of new accounts, building rapport with exhibit houses, key accounts, etc.
Determine Aerial Equipment and Material needs for all events and orders accordingly, as well as ensure all invoices are routed properly and paid in accordance with Freeman procedures.
Review all Show Management Rigging Work Tickets, make recommendations as needed to ensure that proper quality levels and the most cost effective materials and processes are utilized.
Act as the owner of all Envision adjustments, changes, and additions. Make recommendations to Design as needed.
Work with facilities as needed in regards to Aerial Rigging.
Understand proper procedures to complete paperwork pertaining to Aerial Rigging.
Check Aerial Rigging work orders to verify accuracy of information.
Secure all necessary equipment, tools, and supplies needed to service customers.
Make necessary arrangements with all pertinent Operations Department Managers to see that all equipment is delivered to show site.
Prepare and place all labor calls for Aerial Rigging.
Manage all Aerial Rigging show floor operations while maintaining high profile with clients.
Interact with clients to ensure the highest level of customer service is provided.
Work with Operations Supervisor and Exhibitor Services while at show site.
Ensure all safety protocols are adhered to in regards to proper certifications for Equipment Operators, proper fall protection is utilized, and proper Aerial Rigging procedures are followed.
Attend preshow meetings and daily production meetings to ensure smooth collaboration with all departments.
Project labor on events in the Labor Budgeting Tool (LBT).
Contact exhibitors as needed to confirm and review orders. Provide proposals for truss and rigging orders, as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's Degree or five (5) years of related experience; or a combination of education and experience.
Must be familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures (including labor jurisdictions).
5 years' experience in an operations capacity.
Aerial Rigging experience and knowledge preferred
Industry experience required.
Excellent written and verbal skills.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
ETCP Certification preferred
Aerial Work Platform Certification required
Up to 25%.
