Summary

It is the responsibility of the Regional Warehouse & Logistics Manager for providing department oversight and direction to maximize operational effectiveness. Manages all team members through coaching and development of staff assigned to the logistics operation. Develops and manages effective work procedures, business workflow, and corresponding work schedules to meet business demands. Professionally interacts with customers, team members, and third-party vendor/partner representatives to provide the highest level of service excellence.

This position will support our Event & Exhibit Services team. The position follows an in-person schedule working full-time in-office and/or show site based out of Washington DC.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and oversees all logistics operations between the fulfillment center and events across the region.

  • Develop and implement work process and workflow that meets the demands of the department.

  • Provide oversight and direction to ensure a safe work environment.

  • Conduct safety and general meetings and debriefs with team members.

  • Develop and implements procedures and policies for greater efficiency and department effectiveness.

  • Issue written and oral instructions to team members on pertinent operating issues and direction.

  • Schedules delivery of additional equipment required at the show sites.

  • Develop and implements work procedures and policies for the logistics operation.

  • Schedule and conduct regular staff meetings and training as needed.

  • Ensure all Freeman policies & procedures are communicated, and facility rules are followed in a consistent manner.

  • Perform inquiries & reports in Freeman computer systems.

  • Perform other management duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma required; College degree (BA) preferred.

  • 3 – 5+ years of logistical, transportation, and warehousing experience required.

  • 3 – 5+ years of experience managing supervisory roles required.

  • Industry related experience preferred.

  • Specific experience with computer systems and web-based systems.

  • Strong knowledge and practical experience with Outlook, Word, and Excel.
